Our 60th Birthday Party - October 2005

Over the weekend of October 20-23, 2005, 24 classmates and 14 spouses and guests attended a collective 60th birthday party in Orlando.

Thursday Night

We took the trolley to Bergamo's Restaurant to eat Italian food and hear their singing waiters.

The waiters invited us to sing along

Friday during the day

Some of us went to EPCOT

The Norway pavilion included a reproduction of a Viking ship. How appropriate!

Here is a mural on the wall inside the pavilion.

We took a boat ride through the "fjords."

We stopped by the gift shop.

We also took other rides in EPCOT.
Friday Evening

We went to Sleuth's Mystery Dinner Theatre. Sara got a cameo role in the production.

So did Dan.
Saturday during the day

A few of us went to nearby Sea World.

We saw lots of dolphins...

...and manatees...

...and penguins.

They surf on dolphins at Sea World.

Janet had to try bungie jumping.

We took a boat ride.

We went to the Shamu show.

The program ended with a splash.

Four tired classmates.
Saturday Evening

The Hilton Garden Inn was very accommodating.

Three party-goers

Three more attendees with appropriate headgear.

Lighting 60 candles takes a lot of work.

The cake is presented to the group.

Here is one shot of the group.

Here is another

Some spontaneous dancing broke out.

The party's over. What a time we had!
