The dates for our visit to Las Vegas for our collective 55th birthday celebration are nearing. We are sending this letter to everyone who expressed some interest in this outing.

The current plan centers on the Columbus Day weekend. From what I can tell so far, a popular schedule seems to be arrival in LV on Thursday, October 5, staying at the MGM Grand Hotel and departing sometime Sunday afternoon. If you are planning to attend and haven't made your plans yet, it is time to get going.

An informal planning meeting to nail down some of the events for the weekend is coming up on Sunday, August 6 at 4:00. Gary and Jeanette (Wing) Childs will be hosting the event. Their address is 1047 Grosvenor Road, Grass Lake 49240. Take Michigan Avenue to Wolf Lake Road (it intersects just west of downtown Grass Lake). Go south about 3/4 of a mile to Grosvenor Road. Their house is on the southeast corner. The phone number is (517) 522-4389 in case you get lost.

All are welcome. If you are planning to attend, please call her or send a note so that she can get an approximate count. Please bring a snack to share. Soft drinks will be provided. If you can't make it but have some ideas or questions, please send them to one of us in advance.

Following the meeting, we will send out details to all who asked for more information on the trip. Currently, that amounts to about 75 classmates. For our 1995 outing to Las Vegas, about two dozen classmates and another ten or so spouses and guests attended.
