Dear Classmate:

The dates for our visit to Las Vegas for our collective 55th birthday celebration are nearing. We are sending this letter to everyone who has expressed an interest in this outing, attended in 1995 or have just recently been "found." Even though the event is still several weeks off, we know of over two dozen people who have reservations or planning to make them. See the back of this sheet for what we know so far.

Here is the basic schedule for the event (all times are local):

Thursday, October 5: From 4:00-6:00pm, members of our "reception committee" will be within sight of the registration desk at the MGM Grand. Look for our orange JHS buttons.

Friday, October 6: At 1:00pm, we are planning on a casual lunch at a local restaurant. Details later. From 4:00-6:00p, our reception committee will again be in the area of the registration desk of the MGM Grand with our orange JHS buttons.

Saturday, October 7: In the morning, some of us may wish to take a day trip to nearby Hoover Dam. Others may want to stay in the casino's sports book and watch football on television. Both Michigan and Michigan State are playing away from home on this Saturday.

At 6:00 is our main event at the Tropicana Hotel (just south of the MGM Grand). It consists of a social hour (cash bar), dinner and a birthday cake. We will be in Caribbean Room #3. This is the only event of the trip that requires advance reservations.

Sunday, October 8: Many of us will be returning home this day but we will surely get together for breakfast or brunch and maybe another day trip.
