| The planning meeting at the home of Sandy Tison Rubert resulted in the stuffing of about 450 envelopes. The letters will notify members of the upcoming reunion and ask them to confirm their addresses and help track down our "lost" classmates. Here are two photos from the event. The date for the next committee meeting is Sunday, March 16. Everyone is welcome to join us. | |

 In December, Libby Preston Warner hosted a party for classmates at her home. We warmed up the holidays with some caroling. |

 On Saturday, October 14, Jeanette and Gary Childs hosted about two dozen classmates and friends at their home in Grass Lake. We were blessed with cool weather and a full moon. |
 What would precede a hayride better than a wienie roast? Most attendees loaded up on hot dogs and chili. In this photo, Bob Winchester cooks a pie over the raging campfire. |
 Here we are "on the wagon." It was a pleasant trip through several local fields. We spotted some deer and had a race with a 'possum. |
 Our tour guide was Tobin Childs, a John Deere enthusiast. Here he is with the 1941 Model A that he restored over the past year or two. |

JHS Renovation Update |
|
| May 26, 2000. In the photo at right, Mr. Holman is present at the groundbreaking ceremony for the W. Earl Holman Science Wing that will be added to the school as part of the upcoming major renovation. |

| A total of 22 classmates and friends stuffed over 450 envelopes that day. Also present but not in any of these photos were: John Psychas, Mark Lee, Anne Lee, Bill Forbes and Darlene Smith (guest of Bob Winchester). The letters went out on 2/28 and invited classmates to update/confirm their contact info in advance of a class trip to Las Vegas in October 2000 and the 40 year reunion in 2003. |

Planning for the Next Trip to Las Vegas (3/21/99) |
| Here is a photo from March 21, 1999 at a meeting of the 55th Birthday Party Committee. We enjoyed getting together to plan our trip to Las Vegas in October of 2000. The event will take place over the Columbus Day weekend. Details will be forthcoming with a mailing to all classmates expected after the Holidays. |
