Dr. Music is actually Joshua Grekin, a music educator with degrees from the Berklee College of Music (BA in Music Performance) and the Manhattan School of Music (MA in Jazz Performance). He also studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory in the Netherlands. He is the President and Creator of Dr. Music’s Little Bands School, a program founded in 2000 that teaches children how to sing and how to play four instruments (piano, bass, guitar and drums). In the course of one session, each student learns all four instruments and how to play together in a band setting. Dr. Music’s Little Bands School is currently the music program in three Indiana schools. A drama component has been added recently. Josh has extensive experience in composition, particularly in musical theatre and as an adjunct to his teaching. He is currently the band, choir and general music teacher at the 21st Century Charter School in Indianapolis. He is originally from Ann Arbor MI but now makes his home in Bloomington.
